GIRLS RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS JUDGING ASSOCIATION (GRGJA)

2007 CARA SEASON

Mandatory Training

All judges will be required to attend an official scheduled training clinic.  If extenuating circumstances occur, and the above requirements cannot be met, the President may give approval for alternative training.

Judging Qualifications

The league will follow guidelines set by USA Gymnastics for compulsory level routines, and current high school guidelines by the National Federation of State High School Associations for optional level routines – with exceptions of age divisions, fees, and meet conduct.  A member must fulfill the requirements to be certified to judge by attending training by CHSAA and GRGJA.  A certified USAG compulsory judge may attend the GRGJA training to be Experience Certified (EC) for compulsory judging.  A judge must be qualified to act as Superior judge for high school meets to be EC to judge optional level routines.   Judges who have attended the mandatory GRGJA training and have completed their 1st high school year of judging will be Inexperienced Certified (IC).  After completing two practice meets, an IC judge will be eligible to judge in the event that there are no EC judges available.

Judge’s Dues

Judges must pay yearly dues of $10 to cover mailings, materials, etc.  This can be cash or check made payable to the chairman at the time of the GRGJA mandatory training.

Judge’s Fees
