1. If anyone is hosting a pre-season meet and needs judges, please contact Belia.Straushein@Adams12.org to arrange.
2. IMPORTANT DATES:
March 2nd – Age-Level Breakdown –fill out on CARA website ASAP.
3. March 3rd – Team Rosters are Due – Must include gymnasts full name, level, birthdate and age as of April 1st. Please email to Misty at mgowdy@c3gov.com
March 4th – Meet requests open on www.caragymnastics.com at 8am.
All teams must select 6 different regular season meets over 4 different weekends. You will be granted 4. Teams must select a regional preference. All forms will be considered on a first come-first serve basis. If you do not select six different meets, we will assign you where there is room available. Once the meet schedule is set, there will be no changes so please be thorough in your selection process.
March 13th – Mandatory Meeting – Commerce City Rec Center – 2pm
March 13th – CARA night at D.U. – 6pm
You can purchase tickets at a reduced rate of $6 per person by calling Dan Wesolowski at 303-871-3682. CARA gymnastics will collect $2 per ticket sold if purchased this way. The reduced ticket rate and fundraising option is only good if your participants contact him and tell him they are with CARA gymnastics. Tickets may be purchased through Mar 11 at 4pm. This offer will not be honored at the box office or after 4pm on Mar 11.
4. Kristen and Alan have begun working on Regional/State T-shirt design
5. We discussed the possibility of creating a PR position on the board to handle promotion of the CARA gymnastics league using various media outlets.
6. Alan’s Regional will be held at Cherry Creek High School this year, not Overland.
7. The Committee has decided not to propose a league fee increase this year. Rather, we will wait and take a thorough look at what costs are incurred to meet hosts and how to best cover those costs. Hosts will be asked to fill out a worksheet itemizing costs for hosting.
8. All meet hosts must supply a USB memory stick to download and email results.
9. We will be purchasing new ink cartridges to put in 2010 meet kits
10. The possibility of buying a new boys computer was discussed.
11. The committee discussed hosting a “mini-congress”for high school and CARA coaches in conjunction with the state judges’ training on August 21st. We would like to do the same type of thing as last year but expand it to include more guest speakers on more topics and offer more break out sessions…If you have any ideas or requests on what you would like to see covered please email Alan at aherron@auroragov.org. Some suggestions that were discussed are developmental class scheduling, program ideas, sports psych, how to decipher judges sheets, business workshops, etc.

There will be no regular committee meeting in March due to the Mandatory meeting
Next committee meeting will be April 5th at Commerce City at noon.
