CARA Gymnastics Committee Meeting

January 11, 2010

v     Compulsory Routine Clinic – Sunday, Jan 17th  1-4pm

 Meadowood Rec Center

v     Optional Spotting and Drills Clinic – Saturday, Feb 20th  2:30-4:30pm

Paul Derda Rec Center

 

Please RSVP to aherron@auroragov.org if you plan to attend either of these clinics.

 

  1. We are still looking for a meet hosts to fill the May 1st weekend.  Please contact Misty if you are able to host,
  2. Alan is looking into an alternate site to host regional/state meets.  We have had other teams volunteer to host, and will hopefully have sites determined by next committee meeting.
  3. Fraser and Grand County have a new facility and have combined to form the Alpine Aerials.
  4. We discussed the boys schedule and will have a meet schedule finalized by the next meeting.
  5. The league will be ordering Boys’ awards this year.  The boys computer needs some attention and will be looked at to get ready for the season.
  6. There was more discussion about raising the League fee and gate fees for the season.  We will be putting out a worksheet to meet hosts to try to determine costs incurred by host teams.
  7. Contact Information sheets will be going out – please watch for these and respond with any changes.
  8. MEET REQUESTS WILL BE OPENED ON THE WEBSITE AT  8AM ON THURSDAY, MARCH 4TH AND WILL CLOSE AT 5PM.  IF WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU BY MARCH 5TH WE WILL CREATE YOUR SCHEDULE FOR YOU.
  9. REMEMBER YOU MUST FILL OUT AGE/LEVEL BREAKDOWN BEFORE YOU CAN OPEN MEET REQUEST PAGE.
  10. MANDATORY MEETING IS ON MARCH 13TH AT 2PM.  CARA    GYMNASTICS NIGHT AT DU IS THAT EVENING.  THE MEET STARTS AT 6PM.  TICKET INFO WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.
  11.  There was discussion about Optional 3 and whether to break into age levels.  When teams submit their numbers this year, we will see if a new proposal should be written to address an age group split at regionals.

 

Next committee meeting is on February 8th at Commerce City at noon.
